I came here to leave an exactly the same comment. Github is not a social network, no matter what its leadership may think. I strongly believe that everything around dashboard should be focused, first and foremost, and the developer and maintainer experience. Ideally, it should be possible to fine-tune dashboard to one of these roles (purely contributors have different needs than mostly reviewers). But what is there now is simply useless. |

Can I turn off this dashboard? It's useless to me. |

Agreed... it took me 3 minutes to find my open issues when I expected those to be displayed in the dashboard instead of "random repositories that might interest you". What made it worse is they weren't issues but discussions, which added to time spent searching and questioning myself where everything had gone to... Please add "Issues" and "Discussions" to the dashboard. Thank you. |

Agreed. The "Home" page doesn't show me anything related to core things I'd be doing, like my repositories. It should be renamed to something like "News" or "Social", to more accurately describe what it is; and then an actual useful Home tab should be added that shows me things that are directly relevant to me: e.g., my repositories. |

The earlier dashboard (back from 2018-2019), was much better tbvh. At least compared to the nonsense it throws now. |

I found myself wanting some kind of dashboard, to keep track of PRs and issues on GitHub that I have my eye on.
I though GitHub's “Dashboard” page might help with this, so I took a look ... but it seems to be completely unhelpful for this purpose.
It's just a bizarre algorithmic feed full of things I don't care about, with seemingly no way to make it display things that I do care about.
I'm disappointed that the dashboard seems to have had very little grounding in actual user needs and workflows.
