Unable to complete GitHub Sponsors signup – profile step skipped

Hello GitHub Community,

My organization "asso-spectro-pointer" is eligible for GitHub Sponsors and appears in my eligible accounts list, but when I click "Get sponsored" the signup process skips the profile configuration step (bio, description, tiers, logo, banner) and goes directly to the payout method page.

Because the profile step is missing, the "Submit" button in the payout method page remains disabled, and I cannot complete the application.

This issue happens both with my organization account and my personal account.

Could someone from GitHub please reset or restart the GitHub Sponsors signup flow for my organization so I can complete the profile setup first?

This issue happens when the GitHub Sponsors onboarding flow gets stuck in the wrong step ,usually because of an incomplete or corrupted earlier application. You can fix it by resetting the setup process.

Steps to fix

1. Cancel the current Sponsors application

   • Go to: https://github.com/sponsors/accounts
   • Find your organization (or personal account) in the list.
   • If it shows as "In progress", click to edit and cancel it.

2. Clear browser state

   • Log out of GitHub
   • Clear your browser cache and cookies (or use an incognito/private browser window)

3. Restart onboarding

   • Go to: https://github.com/sponsors/{ORG_NAME}/dashboard (replace {ORG_NAME} with your org name)
   • Click "Get sponsored"
   • You should now see the profile configuration step (bio, description, tiers, logo, banner) before payout setup.

4. If it still skips directly to payout

   • Contact GitHub Support: https://support.github.com/contact
   • Choose "GitHub Sponsors" → "Set up Sponsors profile"
   • Explain that the profile setup step is missing and ask them to reset your Sponsor's onboarding flow.
