I’ve found that breaking larger updates into smaller PRs makes a big difference. It keeps reviews focused, easier to follow, and usually gets merged faster. 🚀 |

Two suggestions on improving the Pull Request review experience: First One: When giving feedback as part of a PR review there is a counter indicating how many comments one has added in the top right corner. In case the PR is large and includes many files I found it hard to get back to a previous comment, where I wanted to add something. As I mark files as viewed I didn't found a faster way than opening each file section and scrolling back. There it would be helpful to have a small indicator for the files one has commented on. Or maybe more fancy even an overview of the comments one added in the dropdown where one can complete a review. But the first, simpler suggestion would already be very helpful. Second One: In case someone requested a review and the PR is merged and closed during one's own vacation, one can still mark the files as viewed and comment on it, but on the pull requests overview page it keeps the yellow dot saying review requested. Maybe it's possible to improve there to be able to still approve after merges? Just to show my colleagues that I've seen the changes. It could then e.g. show on the pull requests overview page approved after merge. Thank you very much! |
