Profile stuck at "We need more information"

It says Pending Your profile isn't live yet. We need more information to continue.
I'm writing to know whether I need to submit addition information or not. I haven't received any emails from GitHub.

I'd recommend double-checking the guide on GitHub Docs against your setup to assist with the GitHub Sponsors process. If everything looks good, you could contact GitHub Support to confirm whether they need more information from you.

This usually happens when GitHub’s Trust & Safety team is reviewing your account before making your profile public. If you’re seeing “Pending – Your profile isn’t live yet. We need more information to continue” but haven’t received any email, then you don’t need to submit anything proactively unless GitHub contacts you.

What you can do:

1. Check your email (including spam/junk) – GitHub normally sends a request if they need more documentation.

2. Wait for review – Sometimes it takes a few business days for the team to finish verification.

3. Contact GitHub Support – If it’s been more than a few days with no update, open a ticket here: GitHub Support Contact
