Hello GitHub Community,

I recently noticed that I should have received the Galaxy Brain badge, but it’s not appearing on my profile under Achievements.

The Galaxy Brain badge is awarded when a user provides two accepted answers in GitHub Community Discussions. As of now, I already have two accepted answers:

Both of these have the green “Answered by raunak0400” / “Marked as Answer” labels, which confirm they were accepted as solutions.

However, even after waiting more than 24 hours, refreshing, clearing my cache, and checking in multiple browsers, the Galaxy Brain badge is still missing from my profile. I also tried toggling badge visibility under my Achievements tab, but that didn’t resolve the issue either.

I came across some discussions where GitHub mentioned that badge awarding from Community Discussions was limited due to spam, but since my answers are genuine and already accepted, I believe I should still qualify.

Could someone from the GitHub team or moderators please look into this?

Either confirm whether the Galaxy Brain badge is still being awarded from Discussions.

Or let me know if there’s a manual step required on my end.

You can no longer earn achievement badges using Community Discussions.

Hi @raunak0400,

The Galaxy Brain achievement is no longer earnable via Community Discussions, the only way to get the badge now is by answering open discussions in other repos on GitHub.

• Achievements will no longer be available in the Community

Look for trending repos with Discussions enabled using the Explore feature.
