Need help with getting mine approved

Hi everyone,

I have been dealing with a problem getting my github education approved, but it seems that every single reason why its being denied is actually not wrong at all.

I am allowing location acess and im not using a VPN.
The document contains my name exactly as the billing info.
The image contains the school name and logo
It includes the date which I started studying and todays date
It includes my first name exactly as my profile name
And im not using a variation of my name too
I got everything right but it still says I have everything wrong

It sounds like you’ve already checked all the usual requirements (location, no VPN, matching name, school logo, valid dates).

Sometimes GitHub Education verification still fails if:

• The document scan/photo isn’t clear enough.
• The school name doesn’t exactly match GitHub’s records.
• The profile name and billing info aren’t updated everywhere.

Best next step: open a ticket with GitHub Education Support and attach your docs/screenshots. They can manually review your case.

The Document wasnt clear enough to be honest. It asks for a camera photo and it doesnt let me upload a file, so i took a photo of my computer screen. I dont know if it could be enough reason for that but I actually cant see another way of doing it.
I actually tried to find a way to be reviewed manually, but it seems that they dont do it anymore.

I also had a few failed attempts before GitHub finally allowed me to upload the necessary documents in PDF to get the GitHub Student Pack.

If it still doesn’t work, the safest step is to contact GitHub Education Support and explain your situation.

Sometimes they can make exceptions or guide you through an alternative verification process.

If you have enabled location on both your OS and browser, and filled in your billing information and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic proof, try logging out and logging back into GitHub before reapplying, as for some reason the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated.

If you still get rejected, submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC.

If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.
