Not receiving Discord notifications while phone is connected to GSConnect

Describe the bug

I do not receive Discord notifications to my phone when my phone and desktop PC are connected. I will receive other notifications such as email, sms, youtube, etc. but only discord I will not receive notifications. GSConnect is already installed on Bazzite.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install Bazzite Desktop with GNOME shell
2. Login to Discord on Desktop
3. Connect Desktop and Phone over GSConnect
4. Receive notifications from Discord

Expected behavior

I would expect to still receive notifications on my phone even when it's connected to my desktop via GSConnect.

@JordanMPDS Can you walk us through the steps of exactly what notifications you're not seeing? Something like,

1. When my phone and computer are connected
2. A notification for Discord appears on <DEVICE>
3. I expect [GSConnect, KDE Connect] to mirror it to <DEVICE>, but that does not happen

If it's the KDE Connect → GSConnect path (mirroring Android notifications to the desktop), Android has several flags that can be set to prevent notification mirroring, like LOCAL_ONLY or ONGOING_EVENT. If any of those are set, KDE Connect's Notification Plugin will ignore the notification. It's possible that's what's going on (if we're talking about mirroring of Android notifications).

@ferdnyc When my phone and computer are connected I will get a Discord notification (doesn't matter the source of the notification) on my computer but I will not get one on my phone.

I haven't used Discord on my desktop (or at all, actually), so bear with me... Are the Discord notifications on the desktop posted as GNOME/Freedesktop notifications? That is, do they appear in the list that's shown when you open the notification tray by clicking on the clock in the top bar?

Those are the notifications GSConnect has access to and can mirror to other devices. If Discord is doing its own thing, showing notification popups it creates itself, I don't believe we'd see those.

@daniellandau Then why do I not receive notifications when i'm connected to GSConnect, and receive them when i'm not connected? Is there something that GSConnect might be doing to always show as "active" for Discord so I don't get mobile push notifications?

You can also see in my last message the screenshot shows the Discord icon instead of the normal GSConnect icon I would see when notifications are mirrored.
