Walker uses a lot of memory at it has some memory leak problem

can we add a workaround that omarchy-restart-walker runs every 10 min or something so it doesn't reaches more then 500mb ram anytime ??

Can confirm that it climbs by roughly 7MB each time you open the walker menu:

It's an upstream bug, but having workaround would be handy, given the issue/PR has seen no progress for a few weeks now.

nothing i can do anything about. needs to be fixed upstream.

Maybe we could just restart the process at certain intervals until there is an upstream fix? Or consider giving up on the service until then? I can certainly feel a slight difference with the service, but it's not massive.

@dhh, yeah I haven't noticed anything performance wise having 96GB of RAM and walker at 2GB, even after uptime of 10 days, only noticed because suddenly one of models we train didn't fit in my memory anymore. I've "cron killall walker" for now, but any memory leak has that smell of "it will bite you one day" to me.

Okay, I've turned off the Walker service for now. It may be a tad slower, especially on older systems, but we can't have a known memory leak where Walker can grow to 2GB.
