Following this feature request

  • uses the gnome accent color by default
  • adds a toogle button in the settings to override it with the color set in the settings
  • to update the style, adds listeners for
    • gnome accent color changes
    • when the new setting is changed

By changing the key name, people will lose the previous border set. But don't worry, I'll implement some compatibility layer later!
