Also, someone was working with support and they said they were told to do the following:

You can also log into the management page of the switch in Standalone Mode and go to SYSTEM> Controller Settings. In Controller Inform URL, specify Inform URL/IP Address as the controller’s IP address.

Could you try that and see if that helps the switch? I am not sure if the EAPs have the same capability of being able to manually set the inform URL.
