Bot introduces unicode, gags on it, wants to rewrite file it spent an hour writing #265490

This is the third time this has happened today where your bot introduces some unicode into a UTF-8 environment, then chokes on it and tells me it corrupted the file and then deigns to recreate the file from scratch, instead of just restoring. You need to train your bot to learn to know its environment better. This is becoming quite frustrating to use.
