Menu on taskbar randomly appears empty (no text/icons)

When right-clicking the Windows taskbar, the Nilesoft Shell context menu often appears blank — background is visible, but no text or icons are rendered. However, hovering over the empty space reveals submenus, which always display correctly. The issue affects only the root menu.

Clicking again sometimes restores normal rendering, but hovering can still cause it to disappear. Behavior is inconsistent, but the blank menu occurs more often than not.

Windows 11 24H2
Windows 10 22H2

Stable 1.9.18
Canary 1.9.19

I can't help much.

From the screenshot I can't tell if this is the original Windows taskbar or if it was modified/replaced by a 3rd party app - it's possible that the NS has a conflict with this app.

Temporary solution: disable the NS on the taskbar

This is definitely the original Windows taskbar — on the screenshot it’s Windows 10 with the stock taskbar, and on Windows 11 I also use the default one (no 3rd-party modifications).

From my experience, this issue often happens when I’m running World of Tanks with the HD client on maximum settings with a Gigabyte GTX 970. In that mode the GPU memory is working at its limit, so I suspect the problem might be related to a VRAM shortage.
