Problem: send mail don't work

I tested today on Version: v2.16.17-5c8e54e-1755415970 with the new TEST ALERTS button – still the same: no errors and no mails.

for the record:

• My user has a valid Email in his Profile and can receive mail on that account
• Allow alerts for the project is on
• Send alerts for the User is on
• Suppress success notifications for the Task is off

Ok i got it partially working.

I needed to set a "hidden" env var:
SEMAPHORE_EMAIL_ALERT=True

Would be nice to have that one in the env-vars Documentation.
The env-vars Documentation points to a configuration web app here but SEMAPHORE_EMAIL_ALERT is missing there.

With this env var set i get E-Mail Alerts on Fails again.
But i still don't get success Mails.

Do you have any error messages in logs? What SMTP server do you use?

• No errors in logs
• my SMTP server is mailbox.org
• Allow alerts for the project is on
• Send alerts for the User is on
• Suppress success notifications for the Task is off

Mail Alerts on Task Fails and the new "TEST ALERTS" Button work fine now – so i don't think my mail Configuration is the Problem.

On a Failed Run i get, after the PLAY RECAP, Attempting to send email alert to x@y.com and Sent successfully email alert to x@y.com.

I expecting Attempting to send email and Sent successfully email that on a Success run too, unless Suppress success notifications for the Task is checked, but it doesn't happen.
